ለከተሞች የመሠረተ ልማት ማስፋፊያና አቅም ግንባታ ፕሮግራም ለ19 ከተሞች  የሚውል 150 ሚሊዮን ዶላር የዓለም ባንክ ብድር መስጠቱን የሥራና ከተማ ልማት ሚኒስቴር ገለፀ፡፡፡
 
በአዲስ አበባ ከተማ ከጥቅምት 13 እስከ ጥቅምት 16 ቀን 2002 ዓ.ም. በተለያዩ ዝግጅቶች ሲከበር የቆየውን የከተሞች ቀንን መጠናቀቅን አስመልክቶ በሥራና ከተማ ልማት ቢሮ የፖሊሲ ጥናትና ዕቅድ ማስተባበሪያ ቢሮ ኃላፊ ዶ/ር አብርሃም ተከስተ በሰጡት ጋዜጣዊ መግለጫ እንደገለፁት በተገኘው ብድር አዲስ አበባ፣ ድሬዳዋና ሐረርን ጨምሮ በአራቱም ክልሎች የሚገኙ አራት ከተሞች ተጠቃሚ እንደሚሆኑ ተናግረዋል፡፡

An International Symposium on the new cultural, naturalistic tourism route in the Ethiopian East concluded.

The International Tourism Symposium held in the City of Harar concluded with various new initiatives and better future for all five regions. The event was organized by the five regions, Oromia, Dire Dawa, Afar, Somali and Harar. The symposium was held during the annual World Tourism Day started from Sep. 26th and ended on the 29th. The event was hosted by the Harari region Cultural & Tourism head Yimaj Idris in the City of Harar . The Harari region president H.E Murad Abdulhadi, NGOs, team of experts, and tour operators were among those attended the symposium.

SOLAR & MICRO TURBINE ENERGY USE FOR SUSTAINABLE ENVIRONMENT IN RURAL ETHIOPIA

Gursum community presented a proposal for Solar and Micro-Wind Turbine Energy Use for Sustainable Environment in the rural regions of Ethiopia where wood is the primary source of energy. This was delivered to the Harari Region President H.E. Murad Abdulhadi during his visit to Toronto on July 25/09. Considering the implementation of such power usage not only enhances the degradation of the countries environment, but also an opportunity of Job creation to youth group and entrepreneurs, said Gursum Community V.P Meftuh Shash.

32 capital projects is underway with over 97 million birr this budget year PDF Print E-mail

Harar, October 16 (WIC) – Deputy Chief Administrator of the Harari state said the construction of 32 capital projects is underway with over 97 million birr this budget year.

State Deputy Chief, Regassa Kefele, told WIC today that the construction of the projects is underway in nine urban and rural administrations of the state.

 

 

He said the projects focused on road, education, health and other sectors.    Upon going fully operation by the coming June, the projects will benefit more than 100,000 residents of the state, he noted.

Harar, October 15 (WIC) - The Harar Town Municipality has reportedly approved more than 61 million birr for development activities to be executed this budget year.

Municipality General Manager, Tewelde Abdosh, said at the first regular session of the town council held yesterday that the budget will be utilized to carry out various development projects.

He said the budget will help to expand socio-economic benefits of residents of the town as well as realize good governance and poverty reduction strategy.

More than 25.4 million birr of the total budget was allocated by the federal government, while the state government will cover the balance. The development activities to be carried out in the reported budget year include construction of alley roads, market centers, modern abattoir, bus station as well as installation of flood disposal canal, he said.

Town’s council and cabinet members as well as pertinent bodies attended the conference.
